Parker Grant

Dr. Parker Grant is the co-founder of IDLance, an instructional design freelance agency that provides custom learning and staffing solutions to clients in higher education, corporations, non-profits, medicine, and government sectors. With 35 years of experience in the industry, Dr. Grant has served in different roles as a mechanical engineer, technical trainer, learning designer, eLearning developer, training manager, entrepreneur, learning technology innovator, consultant, and business owner. He earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. in Educational Technology with an emphasis in instructional design, and his Ph.D. in Adult Learning with a specialization in mental models and concept mapping. Dr. Grant resides in Connecticut with his wife and their four beautiful children. In his spare time, he loves to spend time outdoors running, playing golf, or traveling to visit friends or family.
